Parents and teens of Year 2 Confirmation joined us for our SEALED. Orientation meeting on September 21. For those who were unable to attend, we ask that you download the SEALED. Handbook and Additional Paperwork found just to the right of this post. Please take the time to read the handbook very carefully to learn about our online component and the monthly meetings. We ask that you drop off paperwork in the SRE Office. Your teen will continue to use the YouCat distributed to all last year for all assigned readings. As you sign up for Schoology to access the online quizzes for each lesson, please contact us for the access code at [email protected]. Please take special note of the Confirmation Masses that will take place in O'Donnell Hall or in the Church found on page 12 of the Handbook. Teens are required to stay in O'Donnell Hall or go to the church and fully participate in those special Masses for Year 2 Candidates. Families are invited to join us at these Masses. If you have not yet registered your teen for our SEALED. Confirmation Retreat on November 7-9, please do so now via the "Life Teen" tab on this site. What do we mean when we profess that we are an ‘apostolic church’? This month, we explore how the Church was founded upon the apostles, how it holds fast to their Tradition, and how it is governed by their successors. The faith given by Jesus to his disciples is the same faith that we profess today. It is the same faith that we are called to share with others. It is our faith that guides us in times of struggle, doubt and fear. We can turn to the Church teachings for loving guidance, knowing that the teachings are handed down from Jesus, directly to us!

Sealed. Year 1 and Year 2 gather to learn about the 7 Social Teachings of the Catholic Church. We are called to love our neighbor. We know that being Catholic does not simply mean we gather and learn about our faith. We gather and then we are sent. We are called to live our faith. Our faith in action is love in action. Through the 7 different lenses of Catholic Social Teaching, we learn various ways to approach serving our neighbor. With the help of Human Nature, we can all dive into a meaningful service experience that will benefit others and help us raise funds for our Steubenville West retreat this Summer!
